The Director of Sales Strategy and Support Services will be an integral part of the Retail Bank's senior leadership team. This role will be responsible for spearheading the strategic direction and optimizing the efficacy of critical sales initiatives, as well as analytical and business support programs within the CBB Retail Bank. Collaborating closely with senior management within the retail banking division, this role will evolve strategic sales incentive and scorecard programs designed to propel business expansion, while leading and optimizing support service functions-data analytics, training, workforce planning, branch support operations, and administrative services-to deliver tangible business outcomes. Success in this role necessitates a profound comprehension of organizational priorities and the ability to seamlessly align people, processes, and technology with overarching business objectives.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement sales target setting methodologies for bank sales force, aligning with organizational objectives and market trends.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders and key stakeholders to communicate sales targets effectively, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate sales target setting processes with other business functions, such as marketing and product development, to ensure cohesive and aligned strategies.
  • Develop and manage incentive plan scorecards to include quarterly reporting and communication of scorecard achievement at the individual and business line levels.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to establish frameworks for implementing changes to incentive and scorecard programs, manage the change processes associated with the incentive plan and scorecard.
  • Lead the risk review of sales incentive plans and monitor compliance to regulatory standards.
  • Develop comprehensive analytics surrounding the sales model to optimize staff strategy and role mix.
  • Build and develop a reporting infrastructure, leveraging data automation where possible, to track key performance indicators and enabling data-driven decisions by leaders.
  • Leverage analytics to size, scope and determine business opportunities to create business cases aimed to meet business objectives.
  • Partner effectively across all business functions including; Marketing, Technology & Operations, Sales Channels, etc. in order to ensure ongoing alignment and execute successful analytics strategies
  • Accountable for the design of a Support Services delivery model - driving efficient and effective use of people, processes, and technology across Training, Branch Operations, SOP Teams, Administrative Support, and Workforce Planning.
  • Create a training strategy and framework that provides timely tools and knowledge; Lead the development and delivery of sales training/education and certification programs.
  • Identify and analyze technology opportunities to modernize training delivery and automate SOP processes, where possible.
  • Participate in and present at monthly business reviews with Executive Leadership
  • Develop trusted relationships with executives, senior leaders, and key business partners.
  • Build a fact-first mindset making information readily available to drive profitable, strategic decision making.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance, Marketing required.
  • Master's Degree Business Administration, Finance, Marketing preferred.

Experience:

  • 12+ years experience strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, financial decision-making and proficiency in analytical research required.
  • Extensive experience with managing strategic and operational transformation.
