Telemetry Technician, Remote Telemetry Surveillance / Cardiac Monitoring, Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside, Nights, 72 hours / 2 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Observes all assigned monitors and accurately interprets rhythms.
  • Reports all changes in rhythm to RN assigned to patient.
  • Follows unit policy and procedure for accurately recording and documenting patient rhythm.
  • Immediately alerts RN of a lethal arrhythmia.
  • Records ongoing rhythm strips during emergency situations involving assigned patients.
  • Provides complete shift report.
  • Provides report to RN assigned to patient.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of a CNA program required
  • Successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation.

Certification/Licensure

  • Current CNA certification in applicable state
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification is required within 90 days

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle, finger, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, steep, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
